19 June 2019, Benoni – The Startup Mzansi Foundation partnered with South Africa’s Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA) to train, equip and empower 40 young entrepreneurs from the City of Ekurhuleni. This joint initiative was as a result of ZADNA’s efforts to help young South Africans especially those from previously disadvantaged communities to tap into the digital world.

This workshop lasted over 2 days with various topics being discussed ranging from the Business of Domains, Internet and general business management modules. This course was fully sponsored by ZADNA and Certificates of Attendance were issued upon the completion of the course on the second day of the training.

Speaking for Startup Mzansi Foundation, Founder and CEO Mr Sandile Shabangu said that “Startup Mzansi has taken the initiative to help young people have the opportunity to experience and become entrepreneurs with access to the best resources available. Through initiatives and partnerships like these we are confident that more young people will be able to tap into the power of entrepreneurship and technology so as to be able to advance forward as we usher into the 4th Industrial Revolution.”

ZADNA has been offering opportunities like this one for young people throughout the country. The workshop was facilitated by one of ZADNA’s we-knowledged employees, Mr Cedrick Lumadi, who had done a sterling work in delivering the training intervention.
